The Choir singin Haydn's Creation our next concert

The Pro Musica Chamber Choir was formed in September 1998. For the first four seasons the choir was conducted by Dr. Roy Wales, one of the UK's most experienced choral conductors and well known on the international music scene.
It is now co-directed by Kathryn Sargent and Ray Maulkin.

The choir is an audition choir and consists of around 40 experienced singers from East and West Sussex and further afield. Pro Musica rehearses on Monday evenings in Rottingdean, a village near Brighton on the English South Coast.

It aims to create a friendly, sociable choral environment and to perform a varied international choral repertoire of works from 16th-20th century to a high standard. There is a modest membership fee and a simple entrance voice hearing. We welcome new members with experience of choral singing, especially tenors and basses, and it is possible to join at any time during the year.

Members not only have the opportunity to give regular concerts in various venues in the region, but also to participate in occasional concerts nationally in various venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Barbican Concert Hall, London and National Indoor Arena and Symphony Hall, Birmingham. making Music logo

The choir also undertakes a short overseas tour each year.

Pro Musica is a member of 'Making Music'.
